Common Questions


  • Do I have to attend both days of tryouts for my age group?

    Yes, it is strongly encouraged to attend both days so coaches can fully evaluate your play.

  • What should I wear to tryouts?

    A tryout shirt will be provided. We encourage players to wear black shorts and black socks.

  • What if I'm injured during tryouts?

    You'll still need to register, then contact Director of Soccer Operations Brady Johnson. If you played for Boreal previously, your coach's evaluation will be used.

  • Can parents watch tryouts?

    Parents are not allowed near the tryout fields and may not speak with players or staff during evaluations.

  • What are these tryouts for?

    These tryouts are for the 2026–27 competitive soccer season.

  • Does every player get placed on a team?

    We make every attempt to place each player on a team. Placement may depend on the number of players in a given age group.

  • With the age group change, what age does my player tryout for?

    Please refer to the age group change chart within the Competitive Program tab.
